What should I do if my Bangkok Bank account is frozen while on a DTV visa?

Hello,

Has anyone with a DTV heard back from Bangkok Bank after having their account frozen last week? They told me that it would be unblocked by Friday or Monday, or that I would at least hear back from them. The only change to my app is that there is no longer that notification of going to the bank to submit documents within 30 days.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the status of their frozen account with Bangkok Bank, specifically related to their DTV visa, and expresses concern over a lack of communication from the bank after being told it would be unblocked shortly. Comments from others suggest patience and inquire about the bank's confirmation of the visa status.

I'm just asking if anyone has heard back from the bank yet? What's the problem with that? I'm not complaining about anything. I'm not even upset by all this. Frankly, I see the merchants in Bang Na, Ekkamai, Thong Lor, and Phrom Phom losing the most if I do not have this bank account. I'll be fine no matter what. Keep in mind that I'm using this bank account to spend my money in Bangkok. Think about that. Who loses if I don't have easy access to my money to pay merchants? It's a no-brainer.

ScenicBroccoli346 It's the banking system that is unnecessarily distrupting micro economic activity. My expenditures add up, which fortunately, I can make. I am using my money to buy their products. If I don't, it affects their sales. Anyway, it's better for everyone if I have it. If I don't, it's a loss for everyone in some way shape or form. Let's see what happens.

ScenicBroccoli346 What will those merchants be losing? I don't think Thai accounts are frozen?

I will not be spending my money there. They will lose a regular customer.

So the bank checked your visa and they seemed ok that you have a DTV?

Did they ask for any other documents?

Kivanc Doganay My stopped working Tues morning, it had a notification saying go to the branch with your passport and supporting docs. I went, waiting in line for about 3 hours because over 40 other expats were there for the same reason. When my turn came, I gave them my passport, lease agreement, and stock trading account info. The took a photocopy of my DTV and passport and everything else, had me fill out a form and said it should be unblocked by Friday or Monday. I'm writing here to ask if anyone in the same situation from last week heard back yet from Bangkok Bank.

Hopefully it’s not a lot of money and can use your USA account until they figure this out
