Hello, those of you who had to go to Bangkok Bank to verify your accounts, how long did it take for your account to work again? It's been a week since I went to the bank and my account is still blocked.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Many users report varying experiences with the length of time their accounts remain blocked after visiting Bangkok Bank for verification. Initial wait times were communicated as 3-7 business days, but many have experienced delays longer than that, with some still waiting weeks later. Others mention switching banks due to repeated issues with account freezes. Overall, users have faced challenges in getting their accounts unblocked, leading to frustration and considerations of alternative banking options.

Just out of curiosity. Are these accounts actually frozen or is it just transactions using mobile banking that are affected?

it's suspended completely. No withdrawal at counter, no withdrawal at ATM, no interbank transfer between original BBL at BKK account to new UTH BBL account. But can remit money into the account, but cannot remit money out via app, counter or interbank.

Totally frozen inside out! This is personal experience just from last week.

How is this legal? Them withholding our funds hostage even after verification?

damn - that sucks man. U expect this with PayPal and Wise accounts but not actual banks. You should be allowed to opt out, cash out, and close the account instantly. I hope it clears soon - maybe get every foreigner to sign some petition and file a complaint with the FCC. Likely wouldn’t result in anything though. TIT

but account was just validated in early July after the initial suspension, so don't understand why it's suspended again... Very frustrating...

I wish anyone with a frozen account had access to internet banking and tried it. I do at both Bangkok Bank and KBank. Like you said, nobody answers. 🤔

totally agree,, why do they give you 30 days to sort it out but freeze your account, be better if they gave you 7 days then freeze if you not sort it, better off with kasikorn as transfer is instant unlike bkb
