II have got my 12month extension to my multi entry non o visa but it does not state multi entry .should I be worried ?
Answer summary
The concern regarding whether the 12-month extension to your Non-O visa is multi-entry is valid. Extensions themselves do not include multi-entry status; you need to obtain a separate re-entry permit, which can be a single or multiple entry permit. To add a multi-entry option to your extension, you must go to the immigration office and pay an additional fee (approximately 3800 Baht). It's crucial to confirm the specifics of your visa and any required permits before traveling outside Thailand, as failure to secure a valid re-entry permit may result in your extension becoming void.

Watch your wrong wording, John Farkas :

“hi graham it was a 15month retirement visa multi entry”

*** there is nothing such as a multi-entry Non-Imm-O Retirement Visa since October 2023.

*** ALL Retirement visas are issued as a 90-days single-entry Non-Imm-O Retirement Visa

*** You enter Thailand on this visa, you get stamped in for a 90-days stay permit. The “visa” becomes invalid after you entered.

*** this 90-days stay permit gets extended for one year. Now you got a “12-months extension of (the) stay permit based on retirement”.

This extended stay permit is not a visa. It is not a retirement visa. It simply is an “extended stay permit”.

*** for this one-year stay permit you bought a multi re-entry permit for 3800 Baht.

This re-entry permit is valid until the expiry of the stay permit it was bought for.

Check the stamps in your passport, they will tell you exactly the same.

Extensions are not multiple entry, you will need to purchase your re-entry permit separately.

All I can say is lucky you queried it before travelling overseas , otherwise your extension would have been null and void.

Purchase the Multi-entry stamp separately (different location within Immigration). Cost is 3800b to add to the 12 month extension. A 2nd separate stamp will be added to your passport

If you bought a multi-entry re-entry permit while on your 90 day Non-O Visa you wasted your money as it doesn't transfer when you get your 12 month extension of stay.

John Farkas no such thing as a 15 month visa. You probably got 15 months by getting a Non O

(3 months) followed by a 12 month extension of stay. That in itself is not a multi entry visa, it will expire on exit unless you purchased a multi entry re entry permit which is probably what you did. If it was all done by an agent it would have been packaged up and understood by you to be a 15 month multi entry visa, when in fact it has 3 separate elements.

you have misunderstood what you previously had. You had a 90 day Non-O visa plus a 12 month extension of stay plus a multiple re-entry permit. It's just that they were all obtained at the same time via an agent so it appears as 15 months but if you look at the stamps in your passport you will see the above

Extensions are not in themselves multi entry, you need to apply for a re-entry permit, either single re-entry or multiple (unlimited) re-entry
