I told him if it works he should not go to the same embassy while applying for the second one like for the first one Vientiane, for the second one Taipei. He will come with a new passport and a 30 days visa exemption.
Have I forgotten anything or is it ok like that?
Are other embassies maybe better?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user asks if they can obtain two single entry tourist visas consecutively using different embassies (Vientiane and Taipei), and if there are considerations to keep in mind such as a new passport and visa history. Comments suggest potential challenges in obtaining a visa in Taipei, the importance of considering entry history, and recommend applying at different locations like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City for the second visa.
Remember a new passport doesn't do anything to hide his entry history to thailand when he stamps into the country. The officers at passport control can see that as far back as they want to look at it because the system matches based on surname, sex, DOB, country of origin etc. They'll find the previous entries from another passport easily.
