I will be traveling to Thailand for the first time in the coming weeks. My husband (Citizen of Haiti) is required to get a tourist visa for our upcoming trip. The visa application requires we list a reference person and address in Thailand. Since we do not know anyone in the country how are we to answer or navigate this question on the application? Also what are the chances he can complete this process in time for our trip on Jan. 22? Any advice is greatly appreciated. We plan to send the required documents and application to Washington D.C. Monday.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is traveling to Thailand shortly, requiring a tourist visa for their husband, a Haitian citizen. They face difficulty identifying a reference person or address in Thailand, as the application requests this information. Community members suggest using their hotel’s name and address or leaving the field blank. They emphasize that processing times for visas depend on the respective consulate and advise contacting the embassy for accurate timeframes.

As people said either leave it blank OR put down the hotel where you're going to be staying as the address

Just reference the hotel you'll stay in.

But if don't know anyone leave it blank.

Depending on wherever you're applying, there's no way to tell how long it will take. Better ask to the consulate/embassy directly.

The application form is a standard form used for multiple types of visa, if you can not answer the question, just leave it open. For a Tourist Visa thee is no reference person and address needed in Thailand. Without knowing how long the Thai Consulate tells you it takes to apply for a Visa and without knowing when you are going to apply, there is no way I can tell you if you are on time.
