Question about TM30, we will be moving on a public holiday, over the long weekend. Knowing I need to report within 24 hours about address change, I’m going to try online for the first time. what if there’s a error and need to wait 3 days later , Monday to go to immigration office.. will I get fine? I will try to ask my landlord to do on behalf of us , but she never had a foreigner tenant, so I can have big guess she don’t know what is tm30..

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you need to report a change of address via TM30 but are moving on a public holiday and can't complete the process until after the weekend, you generally will not incur a fine. Due dates are often adjusted to the next business day if they fall on a weekend or holiday. Additionally, you can file the TM30 online or by mail. It's also possible for your landlord to file on your behalf, especially if they have online access. Ultimately, as long as you can demonstrate that you attempted to register the change, you should be fine.

They are closed on a weekend so I always do on a Monday as normally change location over a weekend. Never had an issue dating the TM30 from the Saturday

If your new landlord has online access (username and password for the online system) then it’s pretty irrelevant when you file a TM30. Technically it “should” be within 24 hours but who’s going to know. They don’t really track the details of when, just that it’s been done. If you can show by a screenshot that you’ve registered then you’re good to go.

the problem is landlord never had a foreigner tenant , I’m afraid she don’t even know what’s that

ask her to register here.

She’ll need a couple of things to upload like house registration and Id and in a couple of days will get a reply back with a username and password to access the system. From then it takes just a couple of minutes to enter your details on the system. There’s no print facility so you basically enter your details in step one then save it. Then in step 2 you search for your entry (by date you did the entry) then when the results show on screen you just do a screenshot and print that. That’s good enough for immigration to prove you’ve done the report.

can it be rent contract and her ID card copy? I have that already . So we can do it before the moving date? Since we can select the date of entry,

. You cannot do it before the date you move.

I’ve not done the actual registration part so I’m not 100% sure what it entails but I don’t think you need a rental contract or anything. The system is basically designed for hotels to register their guests. That said it’s not limited to hotels. The owner just a registers their property (with ID and house registration) and awaits the username/password.

If it's a weekend or a public holiday any "due" date defaults to the first day immigration is open. You can also do it by mail. I always found that the easiest. Just copies of passport ID page, last entry stamp, TM6 and copy of lease.
