i was rejected for workcation, and switched to soft power, after i sent a message to the IG page for my consulate and they said i can submit without paying for a new app. i would call and message them before you give up and get concrete clear concise directions and steps

Anonymous participant oh that’s a shame. Did the payslips show tax etc like they asked and translated to Thai/English if not in Thai/English?

Also, remote worker, for a company or for yourself? US based?

worker would imply for someone else. Freelancer would be for yourself

You'd be amazed how many people mix the two up, hence asking.

probably only people who are trying to ‘scam’ the system and are neither! Anyone who is a worker knows they work for someone else and likewise anyone who is freelance know they dont!

Why are some people being asked for this? It’s clearly stated on your payslip your deductions and home address. Submit your payslips again and point out the income tax part.

Are you from the US?

I received the same request for more docs yesterday. HCMC asked for document explaining my job and tax/pay slips for last 6 months. I provided a document with my job description and also the payslips for 6 months which include tax info. Hopefully that is ok?

They are asking for your tax assessment. Just upload it along with the pay slips and it should be fine.
