Has anyone on here applied for a dtv visa from the london embassy as a remote worker ? I have a few question 

What was the waiting time to hear from them ? 

Did they ask for additional documents? 

Is it common for them to reject applications ? 

Do they refund the 300GBP if the application is rejected ?

On a general note, there is a very significant review of visas underway. Checkout the expat media but avoid the hysterics.

The DTV visa is increasingly being treated with skepticism by immigration and within Government.

This process may explain any delay. Assuming your application was above board, I would expect some information before the end of month. If not by then, I would consider a follow-up process.

My recent one was 3 days, start to finish, including them twice asking for additional documentation. They were super fast and efficient.

You may be able to find some past posts using the search feature. You can definitely find reports in the DTV Facebook group.

London embassy is generally fast for all visa applications.

Whether someone is asked for additional documents or not has nothing to do with which embassy you apply at. It has to do with whether you supply everything that is required to start with.

Visa fees are NEVER refunded. You are paying for the processing, whether it is approved, rejected or cancelled.
