What documents do I need to apply for a remote work visa in Thailand, and how smooth is the application process?

Got my visa approved this week at Taipei, it was pretty smooth for me. I applied as a remote worker and I provided 6 months bank statements, employment contract, remote work agreement and a letter from the company. Tbh it seemed they were mainly interested in the bank statements.

I was a bit worried as I have only just started the job and haven't received a paycheck yet, but it all went fine.

There were a few others applying who seemed to get quite a grilling, but I think it may have been because they had more complex situations that the staff couldn't quite understand, but I believe everyone got approved in the end.

If you've got any questions, ask away. And thank you to this group, you've all been very helpful!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully obtained their remote worker visa in Taipei, providing necessary documents such as 6 months of bank statements, an employment contract, and a remote work agreement. Despite initial worries due to starting the job without receiving payment, the visa application process went smoothly. Other applicants faced varying degrees of scrutiny based on their complex situations, but all were approved. Community members have since asked about documentation requirements, appointment processes, and bank statement specifics.

Hello friend, I have a question regarding bank statement - does it have to include bank stamp and signature? Because my bank only provide me with movements of funds within the month.

Thank you for the insights. I would love to add some questions as I'm currently in Kaoshiung and planning to take a train to Taipei for a couple days later this month to also get a DTV. πŸ™‚

Are you self-employed? If so, did you just write a simple work contract?

I'm running an LLC in Dubai and am wondering if the company formation and MOA (shoring that I'm the owner and only shareholder) is enough. Writing a contract for myself seems kinda silly. πŸ˜ƒ

Do you know if they only care about the current bank balance? I haven't kept 500k THB in my account and would only transfer that from my company over this week so that I can show it. But it would be only recent, not for multiple months.

Thanks again! πŸ™‚

I'm not self employed. I'm not 100% sure about the bank statements, as I had 500k for over 6 months, but I heard from others that it's only the current balance they care about.
