What should I do when applying for a 90-day extension on my Non-Immigrant ED Visa after renewing my US passport?
I recently obtained a 90 day Non - Immigrant ED Visa . Since then, I've had to renew my American Passport. I have a few questions.
What do I do when it comes time to apply for my first 90 day extension? I have read on here that immigration will not transfer the sticker, only the stamps. Do I just bring both passports and the letter from the US embassy to facilitate the transfer of the visa between the old and new passports?
Do I need to do anything with the new passport at immigration once it arrives? My address has been registered since the day I entered under the old passport. Do I need to re-register it under the new passport number? I have no plans to travel outside of Thailand during my studies.
Thanks in advance.

Answer summary
The user recently obtained a 90-day Non-Immigrant ED Visa and has questions regarding the extension process after renewing their American passport. They inquire about the requirements for applying for the first 90-day extension, specifically if they need to bring both passports and a letter from the US embassy. Additionally, the user asks about whether they need to update their registered address at immigration with the new passport number, considering they do not plan to travel outside Thailand.

I just looked at the volunteer website, but it seems that only if you have already an Extension of Stay you need to transfer it to new passport. There is no mention of register address again if you get a new passport. You can call them for more information 090-1707360
