TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers from the UK visiting Thailand under the Phuket Sandbox program have several insurance options recommended by the community. AXA is frequently mentioned as a suitable provider, noted for its ease of obtaining a Certificate of Entry (COE) and comprehensive coverage, including medical and COVID-related expenses. One traveler reported paying 7700 baht for a 60-day policy. Additionally, some users highlighted the free Revolut insurance offered with premium cards as a viable option. Recommendations also included considering LUMA alongside AXA.

100% this. It covers for all medical and asymptomatic covid. However, you can only extend to 6 months max once you get to Thailand, so get as long as you need from the outset.

free?

Wow. Okay but not a big difference as with LUMA costs you 5400 THB for 60 days which is also around £120

it comes with the premium cards along with other benefits. The most expensive card is £120 per year and covers multiple trips upto 90 days per trip. So still far cheaper than Thai covid insurance

AXA is a worldwide insurance I believe.... but I could be wrong... I know they've got offices here in Thailand and Robert is a broker in Bangkok. They'll cover you if you test positive for covid with or without symptoms, whereas some insurance won't if you're asymptomatic. Robert has also been great to deal with, super helpful. I was in a motorbike accident about a month ago so I've already got a claim sent in haha.
