I need some clarification. I have a visa approved for travel to Thailand and I plan on doing the Phuket sandbox option.
I know that I need negative PCR test and certification issued within 72 hrs of flight. I also know about vaccination certificate, certificate of entry for Thailand and Covid health insurance.
Thé thaï est website mentions proof of payment for Covid tests but these look to be for my return flight home.
Can I get this test done in Chiangmai as I plan to travel there after Phuket.
Is there anything else I’m missing? Someone mentioned testing on day 2, 8 and 13 of quarantine, do I book this before I go?
Sorry for long post, this process feels so complicated!
Thankyou in Advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the requirements for traveling to Thailand under the Phuket Sandbox program, specifically concerning the negative PCR test, vaccination certificate, health insurance, and payment for Covid tests. They inquire about obtaining required tests in Chiang Mai and the testing schedule during their stay. Respondents affirm the need for proof of payment for Covid tests to be booked through the hotel and emphasize contacting the hotel directly for arrangements.
Reach out to your hotel and get them to charge you for 14 nights and the Covid tests. Then they will give you a doc (see above) and another one that shows your reservation and they will add a line item that says three Covid tests.
thankyou. That’s very helpful. I had had a look at hotel on booking.com but there was no option for tests. You actually have to contact hotel directly.
Our hotel booked them for us, also at the US Embassy's to get COE you must show proof of payment as part of you proof of payments, hotel, airfare etc....
i thought this too but when you click the link it’s for one PCR test and fitness to fly certificate so then I thought it was for return flight home. Are day 2 and 8 tests booked separately or as a package somewhere else?
