Hello, I've noticed that some Thai consulates are accepting Tourist Visa single entry applications at the moment. However, none of the websites that I looked at states how long the visa's are valid for. Has anyone here recently been approved for this visa and can share how long the visa is valid for. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general validity of a normal single entry Thai Tourist Visa is 90 days from the date it is stamped in your passport. Upon entering Thailand with this visa, you are granted a stay of 60 days, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office.

If it’s the “normal” single entry tourist visa it’s valid for 90 days from the date it is put in your passport. When you enter using that visa you get 60 days to stay in Thailand. This is extendable once at a local immigration office for an extra 30 days.

Thank you for your quick reply. This is what I wanted clarification on. I'm aware of validity of stay on the "normal" single entry tourist visa, just wondering if that is now different because of covid-19 and the fact that the STV is not being made available to most countries. Was hoping someone here who has recently been approved could answer.

, the one thing that is different, is now there is a restriction. You can not change to any other visa/extension once you are in Thailand. So you can not come in on any tourist visa, find a job, and change to a non-immigrant visa. You can not come in on a tourist visa, get married to a Thai and change to a marriage extension, or change to a retirement extension. That is now prohibited.
