Can I apply for a 60-day single entry tourist visa at the Thai Consulate in Liverpool, and how does the validity work?

I'm looking to apply for a tourist visa from the Thai Consulate, Liverpool in December (this year). Am I able to apply for a 60-day tourist visa, single entry?

Also, I am slightly confused as the Thai Consulate website states that the visa is valid for 3 months (meaning from date of issue?) or that I am able to stay for 3 months once I have entered Thailand? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a 60-day single entry tourist visa at the Thai Consulate in Liverpool. The visa is valid for entry for 3 months from the date of issue, meaning you must enter Thailand within that period to receive a 60-day stay. Additionally, you can extend your stay by another 30 days at an immigration office for a fee.

you should be fine applying for a single entry tourist visa. Meet the criteria on their hand out, make your appointment and go in person to that consulate..

We used to go in regularly. Don't know if she is still there, but a lovely lady called Sue used to be there who couldn't have been more helpful.

You'll have no problem there - nice woman runs the consulate - took me 15 minutes in and out - nearest rail station is Liverpool James Street .

Appointment just booked for 28th Dec. One can phone the consulate directly in Liverpool. They were able to advise me of closing times. Always closed on Weds, and of course, they're not working on 25th & 26th Dec.

Understood. I'll make an appointment and pay the extra £10 to get it the same day. I just hope they are open on 24th, 27th or 28th as I'm only in the UK for a week. I'll phone later to check and make an appointment if so. Thank you

Once you get here and are stamped in for 60 days you could extend that by 30 more days at the immigration office for 1900baht <- giving you about 3 months in thailand..

Okay, a single entry tourist visa is VALID for 3 months from the date it's issued <- that means you have 3 months to ENTER thailand when you will be stamped in for 60 days <- the length of time ALL tourist visas get you stamped in for.
