How many days did you guys get for your tourist visa? I thought it was 75d but they're telling me it's only 59d for me and that I don't need to pay.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The duration for tourist visas in Thailand varies based on the visa type. A visa exempt entry allows travelers from 51 countries to stay for 45 days if entered by September 30, and can be extended for 30 days at the immigration office for 1900 baht. A tourist visa acquired from a Thai consulate provides an initial 60-day stay, also extendable for 30 days. There is mention of a free visa for Filipinos valid for 59 days that is strictly non-extendable.

Sorry guys this was just a confusion with the staff at the embassy.
They called me again and said I can either pay the fee and get 60d which I can extend, or get a free visa (different from visa exempt, apparently I can get a free one because I'm filipino, maybe it's some SEA perk) valid for 59 days and cannot be extended.
Thanks everyone.

All good now, as I chose to pay the fee to get the 60d. Thank you for your help!
there is no such thing as a “free visa for Filipino”. Never trust what an embassy says about getting an extension of stay

A "visa exempt entry" <- that people from 51 countries get for free when they show up here without having bought a visa from a thai consulate before hand gets you stamped in for 45 days (as long as you enter before the 30th of Sept)
You can apply for one 30 day extension on that for 1900baht at the immigration office here.

A tourist visa (“the sticker”) is valid for 90 days. On entry, you are stamped in for 59 days. You can extend this ONCE for another 30 days.
