Hi All, I am a South African passport holder. I will be getting a new passport on my next visit home. What is the protocol for the visa transfer? I believe I need a letter of confirmation to do so. Do I obtain that in BKK or would I need to do so in SA?
Also, how does it work, on my return to Thailand, at passport control? Do I present both passports for entry? Is there anything else I need to do or know?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A South African passport holder looking to transfer their visa to a new passport needs to obtain a letter of confirmation, which can be secured in Bangkok or potentially in South Africa. Upon returning to Thailand, they should present both passports at passport control to facilitate entry.
