Hello. Question for South Africans:

I need to have a courier pick up my new passport. I am being told I will need to send my old one to be cancelled by the embassy first. Is this the case? I thought you could transfer your visa for a fee at immigration?

Thanks

Summary so far

A South African expat is seeking clarification on whether it is necessary to send their old passport to the embassy for cancellation before they can arrange for a courier to pick up their new passport. They also question if it is possible to transfer their visa for a fee at immigration.
