Can I apply for a 60-day Covid extension directly in Bangkok without taking the 30-day extension first?

Sawasdee krap everyone. Currently on 60-day visa from USA. My visa runs out on December 2. But my plan was to apply for covid-extension before it ends on November 26. I've been told some places force you to apply for the 30 day extension first.

I'm currently in Bangkok. Has anyone here successfully applied and got a 60-day covid extension at the Government Complex here in Bkk? i.e. what are the chances of getting a 60-day covid extension without having to do the 30-day extension first? Anyone do this?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry discusses applying for a 60-day Covid extension for a current 60-day visa expiring on December 2 while in Bangkok. The user wants to know if it's possible to apply directly for the 60-day extension or if they must first request a 30-day extension. Responses indicate that it's generally required to first obtain a 30-day extension and that successfully getting a 60-day extension without the 30-day step is unlikely.

You may apply for 30days first soon (CW allows you to apply for an extension within 45days until your current stamp expires and the extension will be added), Then go back to CW on the last day (Nov 26) to apply for Covid extension. Covid extension would start on the day of application, no matter how many days remain your current stamp. You may get 60days starting Nov 26. you may waste 1900thb as a fee and a trip to CW.

Very slim, sadly. I expect them to issue you a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism first. I have not seen any cases in the last few months where a person was able to go directly from a tourist visa to a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.
