TLDR : Answer Summary
A Non-O single entry visa based on marriage to a Thai national cannot be converted into a multiple re-entry permit directly. You will receive a 90-day single entry visa from a consulate, and to extend your stay, you must meet financial requirements and apply for a year extension at an immigration office in Thailand. After obtaining the extension, you can then purchase a multiple re-entry permit.

The answer to that is NO, doesn't work like that

They no longer sell year-long, multi-entry Non-O visas for marriage at any thai consulate. They discontinued those visas when they went to the online eVisa system worldwide.

Now you get a 90 day single entry Non-O visa from a consulate, come in, meet the financial requirements and apply for a year extension in country at the immigration office. After you get the year extension inked in (after the 30 day under consideration period) you can buy a multiple re-entry permit and come/go all you want for the rest of the year

@Tod ********
thank you…

Can I apply for a non O multiple entry at my local immigration once I arrive in Thailand and if this option is available, what’s the turn around time to obtain it ?

, No, as Tod says, there is no "non O multiple entry" anywhere. You apply for a 1-year extension (fee: 1900 baht), AND a multiple re-entry permit (fee: 3800 baht for multiple). Those are separate things.

You will get a full 1-year extension stamp after a 30-day under-consideration period. You want to apply for a re-entry permit once you get a 1-year extension, and it will be issued on the spot at most immigration offices.

you normally buy a multiple entry permit for 3800 THB AFTER you have been issued the 1-year Extension of the Stay Permit based on being married to a Thai wife. You could theoretically buy a multi re-entry permit for the 90-days stay permit you get stamped in when you enter Thailand, however I do not see any sense in doing so. A re-entry permit is only valid for the duration of the stay permit it has been bought for
