TLDR : Answer Summary
The queuing process at Division 1 Bangkok Immigration for a Non-O Visa extension can be quite chaotic. Visitors often arrive as early as 5 AM to wait in line. At 5:30, they can queue in front of the door, and at 7 AM, queue numbers are distributed. Those with numbers are allowed entry first when the office opens, followed by others, which can lead to long wait times.

They always have people lininig up out there at 5 AM outside the building and they let people line up in front of the door at 5:30, then at 7 they hand out queue numbers to get in line at 8 to get in the door of the immigration office in that order.

When they open the doors all those people with the queue numbers get in FIRST then they let in everyone else.

it's been like that for 2 years now out there.

BUT at least you have a queue to do your year extension for section L so that's a plus (y)

not like today they ran out of numbers multiple ques that were a jumble of people & stretches all around upstairs & being turned away once they get inside. I respect they are overstretched & doing there best but better to tell the 100s outside still no more today rather than let them que a few more hours first.
