TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a certificate of residence for opening a bank account in Bangkok, you need to fill out specific forms, provide certain documents, and pay a fee. Key documents include your TM30 form, a recent photo, and copies of your passport. Additionally, it is advisable to have completed at least one 90-day report. While a residence certificate can facilitate the bank account opening process, it may not be strictly necessary, especially if you have a Non-O visa.

While a residence certificate may help its not necessary to have one to open a bank account. Having a non-o visa already should make that much easier but you may have to try a number of branches

What visa are you on? Have you done a 90 day report already?

I am holding non-o 90 days visa and did not do the 90 days report. Will renew the non-o 90 days to 1 year visa next month. For 90 days report, day will be counted since the date I got the 1 year visa, so that NOT YET. Thank you.

In Bangkok you can only get a residence certificate IF you have done a 90 day report.
