I posted last week regarding 1 year extension of stay and received all the answers I needed ( thanks )

But today I was reading a post about an in country 90 day non imm O ?

I’ve never heard of this before or knew it existed , I did a quick google search on this but all pointed to visas done out of country at embassy’s or consulates.

So any more info on an in country 90 day non imm O would be kindly appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The in-country 90-day Non-O visa can be applied for based on marriage, retirement, volunteering, or raising children, provided you meet certain requirements. Applicants need to have between 15 and 21 days left on their current visa (90-day, 60-day, or a 30-day extension) to apply, as the processing time varies by immigration office. The application fee is 2000 baht, but not all immigration offices may accept applications for this visa type. It's important to verify specific requirements with your local immigration office.

You CAN apply for an in country 90 day Non-O visa (based on marriage, retirement, volunteering, raising children, etc) IF you meet the requirements AND if you have enough days left on your current 30 day visa exempt entry stamp, 60 day tourist visa entry stamp or a 30 day extension from one of those entry stamps.

You need real "hard stamp" days left on one of the above stamps but the actual amount of days you need varies by immigration office from between 15 and 21 days left on your stamp. That is because the application for an in country Non-Immigrant type visa goes under consideration from between 14 and 20 days depending on the immigration office.

The cost of an in country 90 day Non-O visa (or actually ANY type Non-Immgrant visa) is 2000baht.

Check with YOUR specific immigration office as far as if they will issue in country Non-Imm visas. Some offices won't do it. AND if they will do it check to see how many days you need on a valid stamp to apply for the visa to cover the under consideration period.

Just so everyone is clear you CANNOT apply for any type of Non-Immigrant visa at the immigration office once you go on amnesty. You need 'hard stamp' days left on your current stamp to do it

Most people use a thai consulate in another country to get a Non-O visa. In fact many people CHOOSE to get a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai from a thai consulate that does not require proof of funds. AND many people who get their 90 day Non-O based on retirement also get it from a thai consulate in another country too because its a one shot deal, meet the requirements, apply, get the visa come back to thailand.
