What alternatives do I have if my marriage non-O extension is denied before my non-OA extension expires?

A little paranoid, but am applying for a marriage non-O extension on Nov 11 (I have a non-OA extension to that date). When the Immigration Officer came to the condo lobby (2 trips, did not want to actually go to the rented condo unit), talked tough the first time and told my wife I might have to leave the country. The second visit was less tense, and he took photos of us in the lobby.

Anyway, if I don’t get the marriage non-O extension, on the last day of my non-OA extension, what can I do to stay in the country or postpone returning to Canada?

Cheers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a marriage non-O extension and is concerned about the possibility of denial, especially after a tense interaction with immigration officers. They seek advice on what actions to take if their extension is denied on the last day of their existing non-OA extension. The community provides reassurance and suggestions on how to handle the situation, emphasizing the importance of the under consideration stamp received during the application process.

Just call it what it is, an extension of stay based on marriage to Thai wife.

I applied 30 days before the OA was to expire. I did get the under consideration stamp at that time. The IO came about 10 days later. I am going to Soi 5 on the Nov 11, as noted in my under consideration stamp. The same day as my OA was to expire. Maybe I should stop referencing the OA.

The Immigration office on Soi 5 off Jomtien beach road, used by those of us in the greater Pattaya area (I don’t know the boundaries of this area or the right terminology either).

There's lots and lots of "Soi 5". I guess if the people in Pattaya call Jomtien Immigration "Soi 5", then that's what it's called.

I'm not familiar with Pattaya since I never been there, and I am sure some of our members haven't either. Just wanted to clear it up before there's any confusion. :)

why would you go back on the last day of your O-A extension anyway? When you applied for the year marriage extension you should have gotten a 30 day under consideration stamp.

Did you get one?

your fine, just go back to the immigration office on the date your "under consideration" stamp is dated.

If I had to bet I'd say the first trip was a "shake down" attempt
