TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the deadline for submitting additional documents requested by the embassy for their visa application, as they are currently outside the country and unable to receive these documents. Comments suggest contacting the embassy directly for specific deadlines and emphasize the importance of maintaining communication with them to manage the situation effectively.

I don't think being in another country than you entered is a problem as long as you have the stamp in your passport. Now if you don't provide other requested documents on time, yes it should be a problem.

Alvina Moskvinova I don’t see any problem in that

I think working with as opposed to against the embassy is a better approach. I would call in. Make a friend who’s familiar with your case. Check in with the them every other day.

Are you still in the country where you submitted your DTV application?

Which country are you now in?

No, I'm not in the country I applied from. I'm in Vietnam now, but I applied from Poland. So I'm thinking about what to do now.

Alvina Moskvinova I got my dtv in Vietnam and am going to the airport. Looking at many success and failure cases, it is correct to stay in the country where you applied, but most things in Thailand may not be possible or not possible. First of all, I think it would be better to ask the Thai embassy of the country you applied for the first time by e-mail or phone and make a decision

all passport pages and bank statement 6montes. but when I paid I was no longer in Poland. it's my mistake. so now I have a choice either to send my passport and get rejected. or reapply in Vietnam and lose the fee. or just enter on a tourist visa and forget about dtv for now
Angelo ***********
Alvina Moskvinova They want copies of your passport pages. Not your passport. And the bank statements should be easy to obtain!

yes but i was not in poland when i sent that. so that's my mistake
Angelo ***********
Alvina Moskvinova You can sent the copies from everywhere ... or do I misunderstand your problem?

Alvina Moskvinova is Poland a walk-in consulate or are they on the e-visa system? I'm thinking evisa since you didn't hand your passport in during submission. If that's so why not submit the requested docs online?

coz by stamp in my passport i not in poland in moment i paid. and that's simple check if i send now online. and i dont want get reject. just cancel this visa and send online in vietnam
Wannikea *********
Alvina Moskvinova you said you applied from Poland earlier, and now you say you weren't when you paid? As far as I know the payment is made at the same time the application is submitted? You need to provide the complete story timeline/circumstances in one shot to get the best advice.

hmmmm 🤔 you may be right 👍
Wannikea *********
Alvina Moskvinova oh,you weren't even in Poland when you submitted your application? Please play by the rules, why in the world would you do that?
Wannikea *********
Alvina Moskvinova there is no rule saying you must stay in Poland, as long as you aren't in Thailand I think you are perfectly eligible.

@Wannikea ********
that's a grey area. Some embassies state that a person must remain in country until the visa is issued. Alvina Moskvinova needs to check the Polish embassy to see if that's stated on the site, if it's not might be fine.
James ********
Alvina Moskvinova sadly you've made a mistake by leaving Poland.

Did you submit your application while you were in Poland?

You have little choice but either return to Poland and gather the requested documents for your DTV application, or lose your Visa fee.

Then the question will be...

If you choose to apply again in Vietnam... They also might be asking additional questions.

What is it Poland is requesting?
William ********
You should really reach out to the embassy and ask them what the deadline is to submit those documents. Anything else is just guesswork.
