Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice on reliable information sources. I'm hearing a lot of different bit of info, the main ones being in order to get your visa upon arrival, you need a medical certificate claiming you are free from the Covid 19 and insurance of minimum 100,000 USD. Now I heard that this is being put into effect as of Sunday the 22nd of March, and I also heard that it is being put into place immediately. I need to travel with my wife and 2 children (all Thai) and I am British.

Can anyone help with some clarification?

There are varying reports about the enforcement date of these rules, with some stating they take effect immediately and others indicating a delay until March 22. Latest report from DMK this afternoon is that the test and insurance would be mandatory for all travellers starting tonight at Midnight. Lot's of conflicting information right now but this is what the Airline told me after I insisted a bit to check. They went to Immigration to find out and this is what I was told.

Hoping to get back in to Thailand this evening with no issues.

Air Asia at Yangon Int'l Airport is saying they will not be stopping anyone from boarding flights to Bangkok until 22 March.

No idea what will happen after arriving in Bangkok with Immigration, etc but it looks like Myanmar could a safe bet for an in and out by air until 22 March. I'll be more certain of this after arriving in Bangkok this evening.

Sounds like you need to have onward ticket in your hands when check-in the flight to Thailand if just only for transit.
