What is the current status of e-gates for immigration in Thailand for expats?
Just for info, landed bkk 9.30am this morning, fairly quiet, intended to use the new egates but the only ones I saw were signed for for Thais or Hongkong/Singapore. Joined the queue,only 2 people ahead of me, no questions, through in less than 5 minutes !!

In 25 years entering Thailand regularly, I can't say its ever been a problem for me... don't remember any time I was delayed at immigration. The trouble with social media, too much negative and unverified BS is posted and shared for clickbait....

Gary Cockburn You can use the Thai gate if you have dependant Thai relatives and fast track with a retirement visa/extention if you're 75 or over.

Currently, you can only use e-gates when you exit Thailand.

Ray Low-On I arrived at 16.00, and took 20 minutes. But there was a Qatar A380, landing shortly after us. That’s a lot of people.

Nigel Mills originally supposed to land at 1130am, plane at mechanical delay for almost 6hr coming in from Hong Kong. Wonder what immigration will be like around 12

I believe that 09:30 is in general a good time to arrive.
I always land around this time and it’s never really busy.
But I would be happy to start using the e-gates 😊

the eGates have been there for quite some time (only Thai ,HongKong, Singapore) I've use them a few times But sometimes it just doesn't recognize my passport (SG)Steve******
