TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand, it's advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before your flight. The process for acquiring a re-entry permit typically takes about 15 minutes after you go through security. Ensure you go to the re-entry permit counter located in International Departure 2, and note that you do need to pay either 1,200 THB for a single permit or 4,000 THB for a multiple permit. No additional documents, such as photos or applications, are required.

okay, I would imagine you don't actually have a VISA, but if you looked at your stamp in your passport you would see it says "EXTENSION OF STAY PERMITTED UNTIL" and has a date

Also you will not be buying ANY multiple visit visa 😮 but instead you will get a "re-entry permit" (sold as a single or a multiple).

You don't mention the airport you will fly out of so I will just tell you about Suvarnabhumi. The re-entry permit counter is in International Departure 2, AFTER security screening but before passport control. When you go thru security tell them you need a re-entry permit. You don't need a photo, copies, application or anything. A single re-entry permit is 1200, and a multiple re-entry permit is 4000.

The counter is open

and it shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes or so to get it stamped into your passport. It will be valid as long as your current extension is valid for

might want to have mentioned that a little earlier in the post 😕

At Don Mueang, you need to have a passport sized photo, copies of your data page, your current entry stamp, AND the re-entry permit counter there is AFTER you stamp OUT of the country, so tell the people at passport control you need to get a re-entry permit

Or are you talking about doing it on arriving at airport?

, then it should be DongMuang airport, not Suvarnabhumi. (There are two international airports in Bangkok area)

, At Suvarnabhumi, the re-entry counter is on the lower floor, just before the passport control, after security screening on the upper floor..
