TLDR : Answer Summary
To bring Oomsin Khotchaprom to the UK for a two-week visit, several steps need to be taken for her to obtain a visitor visa. She will need to apply through the UK government's official website or use an agent. Key requirements include providing proof of her job or financial stability in Thailand, and evidence of her intention to return home, such as owning property or having dependents. It's important to prepare comprehensive documentation, including personal bank statements, a letter of invitation, and photographs without alcohol to avoid complications. Many shared experiences suggest that using an agent, while costly, may improve chances of visa approval, especially for first-time applicants.

As far as i know she should apply for a visa in Thailand to come here

Go to the appropriate government website...?

There's a visa agent in On Nut who specializes in UK visas. Let me know if you want more info. I was looking for something else and happened upon her. She has amazing reviews.

Ive done lots of UK visas for my Thai wife and mates who have Thai wives and girlfriends before.

Theres endless amounts of paperwork involved especially for a first time visit.

Main reason for rejection is no reason to return to Thailand. If she has a job, property, children and assets and you can afford to sponsor her then theres no problem.

Be prepared to submit your bank statements, work contract etc though.

Would say plan for longer. 2 weeks is a short time for the cost involved.

my wife went for weekend one time, you dont know others circumstances.

My wife cannot take off more than 10 days in a row (company policy)

It’s rare an agent will submit an application they know will fail. Some agents also offer a guaranteed second try, if you get a refusal. If you’re going to use an agent, make sure you pick one that has good reviews and a proven track record. You can get plenty of recommendations for agents on posts from these groups.

Im sorry but I fail to comprehend how you would know what agents submit what. You have no way of knowing how many applications are rejected daily! There are 1000's if not more, agents offering this kind of service. How could you possibly know this for sure?

@Barry ******
agents have the experience to know if an application is going to get approved. It has nothing do do with how many applications are rejected on average or daily or any circumstance. You go for an agent with recommendations. And your agent will advise you on if your application will pass or fail.

Wow your in dreamland! So you personally know all agents in Thailand? You have no way of confirming this. This is just your opinion.

Done it myself a few times and no issues. The more documents you can supply the better. You need to prove she will be financially taken care of or she has enough funds, letter of invitation from whoever owns the house she will be staying at and also prove she has good reason to return to Thailand.

Good information I have done it for my girl twice.

Make sure when you supply photos there is no alcohol in the photos as they don’t like that. Also they will look at the age difference around 25 years younger is the said ligit they look at.Also bear in mind now that the agents looking at the visas now in India have about 15 minutes to review the case so label all documents if you do it yourself.

2 options. Either do it yourself through gov. U.K. website or, pay 20-30,000 baht for an agent to do it. I tried to do myself twice and got 2 rejections for my partner. Then used an agent, submitting all the same documentation and got approved. Did all 3 applications within the space of 2 months, so no change in circumstances. There are two main things that needs to be proved. Most importantly, she has a valid reason to return to Thailand. If she owns property (Thais often do) or cars or has a regular job or has dependents (children or elderly), show evidence of this. Next thing you have to prove is finances. Either £62,500 in savings or, income of at least £9,300, over the last 6 months. Don’t go and deposit a large chunk in her account just before the application, to make it look like she has funds, they don’t like that. Show plenty of evidence of conversations between the both of you, screen shots of messages or call etc. Show copies of flight tickets and pictures of you both together. It seems fairly straight forward and you should be able to complete yourself, I thought so. But it does seem to be a bit of a racket and using agents seems to guarantee an approval. After you’ve got the first approval, it seems to get easier after that. I did application myself and got second visit, no issues. All the best and good luck 👍
