TLDR : Answer Summary
For a 4-month stay in Thailand, the most common suggestion is to obtain a Tourist Visa (TR) for 60 days, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht. Alternatively, a strategy involving visa exemption for 45 days followed by an extension of 30 days can be employed, allowing for border bouncing (exiting and re-entering Thailand) to maximize the stay, potentially totaling 150 days. Another option discussed is to obtain an E-Visa for 60 days, extend it for another 30 days, and then execute a visa run to gain additional stay time.

Get the E-Visa for 60 days, extend for 30 and then do a visa run for another 30 days

You get 30 on arrival as soon as you can go to the immigration office near where you are staying and get a 30 day exstencen, take a visit for 48 hrs over the boarder come back and do the process again,

A couple of strategies you can use (all require border bouncing). Simplest is visa exempt 45 days, extend for 30 at immigration, total 75 days. Then border bounce and repeat process - gives you potential total of 150 days

None for 4 months . Can get TR which is 60days and extend 1 time for extra 30 days which will cost you 1900baht
