What is the best visa option for my daughter to stay in Thailand for 4 months?

Hello, my daughter will be spending her vacation here in Thailand where I currently work and live. She has a Philippine Passport but is currently studying in Canada. My question is what is the best way for her to stay in Thailand if she plans to spend close to 4 months here?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The best option for staying in Thailand for 4 months is to plan for a 3-month tourist visa, as a tourist visa only allows a maximum stay of 3 months. To extend her stay beyond that would require her to leave Thailand and re-enter, which involves additional costs and processes.

I agree with James. Tell her to keep it to maximum three months. That way there's no complications

that initial 30 days is only if she arrives without a visa. She should obtain a tourist visa prior to arrival which will give her 60 days on entry plus one extension of 30 days

So i can extend her to a maximum of 2 times? Meaning first entry is 30 days + 30 days extension + 30 days extension? I thought you can only extend once?

Reality is that a tourist visa will allow her to stay total of 3 months...not 4.

Suggest she plan on visiting for 3 months.

To stay longer is not possible without having to leave and reenter Thailand which involves added costs and having to go thru the Thailand Pass entry process.

Is she fully vaccinated?

STV? Special tourist visa, 3 month single entry visa and can be extended twice, could stay up to 9 months
