What information should I provide on the online form for a DTV visa if I haven't booked my tickets yet?

I'm not sure what information to put when filing out the online form for a DTV. It's asking the dates I'm going/coming, what flights, place I'm staying with contact information. I haven't booked anything because I don't know if my visa will be approved and was going to wait until after I get my visa. Please advise.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When filling out the online form for a DTV visa, it is suggested to enter hypothetical travel dates and flight information even if you haven't booked anything yet. This is due to the nature of the form's requirements, which may not be strictly enforced for the DTV application. Many users recommend researching potential flights and using that info on your form, while some advise just estimating dates as placeholders.

It's concerning, but make your plans, buy your ticket. That's what I had to do.

Do a little research to see what flights have good routes and prices for you.

Put that information on the form.

It worked fine for me.

Return ticket 1st. Then waiting until 3 days to trip, cannot do before 3 days,

Classic catch 22 situation

Just put in some dates in the future and flight info. Those fields are left over from other applications and not really valid for the DTV. Plus it could be used to filter out the people not smart enough to figure out valid flight numbers.
