Do I need to bring my whole family to apply for a COVID extension at Chaeng Watthana, and can my wife's Non-O visa be transferred to her new passport there?
I'm preparing to go to Chaeng Watthana in a few days to apply for a 30-day "can't travel due to COVID" extension with embassy letters for my family. I understand I'll need to do this at Chaeng Watthana Counter L given that we entered on Non-Immigrant O single entry visas back in March.
Two questions:
1. Do I need to bring my whole family with me? We have a baby and a toddler.
2. My wife had her passport renewed a few months back. Can I get her Non-O transfered into her new passport book at Counter L or is there a specific desk where this must be done. How long might this part of the process take? (We have a transfer request letter from her embassy for this.)
Thanks - ALWAYS appreciate your advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing to visit Chaeng Watthana for a 30-day extension due to COVID, specifically for a family with Non-Immigrant O visas. The main questions are whether the entire family needs to be present for the application and if the wife's Non-O visa can be transferred to her renewed passport at the same location. Community responses confirm that all family members must be present and clarify that while the visa sticker cannot be moved, the extension can be transferred to the new passport with appropriate documentation.

They won't transfer the visa sticker to another passport, But if she's on an extension they will transfer the extension to the new passport and note she got it from the visa in the previous passport.
It will take as long as it takes, there's no "how long will it be" answer, that's totally dependent on the number of people ahead of you.
This is what you need to get an extension transferred at Chaengwattana (and ask for the transfer stamp form at the front counter)
