Do I need to resubmit documents to transfer my visa to a new passport in Thailand?
I got a visa and my passport is about to expire in a year. Will I have to resubmit the documents to transfer the visa to the new passport?
Answer summary
If your passport is about to expire and you have a visa, you typically do not need to resubmit documents to transfer your visa to a new passport. Instead, you can carry both your old passport with the visa and your new passport together. Immigration authorities will reference the visa using the unique passport ID, which remains valid even if the passport changes.

The passport ID is unique for lifetime. You can change your passport as many times as you want. The immigration will see with your passport ID the existing visa.
