Been waiting 30+ calendar/20+ working days for my New York DTV application, should I be worried? It went to pending approval in one day and then no changes since then.

Answer summary

The user is concerned about the long wait for their New York DTV application, which has been pending approval for over 30 calendar days. Several comments provide insights, suggesting that checking the embassy's processing times and considering holidays may help understand the delay. One commenter shared that contacting the office led to their application being approved the same day.

I emailed but I read calling works too. I just gave them my application number, told them how long I’ve waited and if they could please check on it.

I'm in the uk applied on the 23rd of November and my application is still pending approval. No update since the 26th.

Same here. Consider the approximate processing time of your embassy. Also consider if the embassy had days off, such as Christmas. You may find that not that many *working* days have actually passed.
