TLDR : Answer Summary
A 30-day visa in Thailand indicates that the day of arrival counts as day 1, meaning you need to depart by the end of day 30, which is actually after spending 29 nights in the country. To clarify, if you arrive on day 1, then your departure must occur by the end of day 30, which allows for a full 30 calendar days in Thailand.

Arrival day counts as day 1. So you have to leave after 29 nights, which then is day 30. Or extend before that. But strictly speaking, there in no 30 day visa. Are you referring to visa exemption by any chance?
