I’ve just left the Vientiane Thai embassy to apply for a single entry Non O based on marriage. They asked to see my ORIGINAL marriage certificate. Fortunately I had it on me but a guy I met in my hotel last night wasn’t so lucky and was having to arrange someone to bring it to him today. There is no mention on their website about requiring to see the original. And they also handed me back my bank statement so I assume they don’t need proof of funds 🤔
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their experience applying for a Single Entry Non-O Visa based on marriage at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane, noting the requirement for an original marriage certificate, which was not mentioned on the embassy's website. They observe that while they provided their certificate, another applicant struggled without theirs. Additionally, the user's bank statement was returned, suggesting that proof of funds may not be needed.
