I applied for the DTV Visa, Soft Power Route London embassy (Muay Thai)
Got an email today, asking for additional documents
For the Document indicating current location : Do bank statements work?
I provided a saver bank statement when I initially applied. 2nd time I will apply with Bank Statement of a credit card with recent transfers in UK. Does this qualify for a document for current location? π€
Let me know please if you were in a similar situation, thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user has applied for a DTV Visa (Soft Power Route) at the London embassy and received a request for additional documentation to prove their current location. They inquired if a bank statement and credit card statement would suffice. Community responses suggested various alternatives, including utility bills, driver's licenses, and receipts from recent purchases, emphasizing the importance of providing evidence of residency in the UK.
Don't complicate things, because they didn't ask for a bank statement (again), but could use alternatives, such as:
council tax bill
"...
All applicants must be residing within the UK/Ireland/UK territories when apply for the Visa. The Royal Thai Embassy has the right to cancel the visa applications should you fail to provide the evidence of your presence within the UK/Ireland/UK territories while applying for the visa.
I don't have any utility bills on my name, I have provisional driving license but with another old address
I am British citizen and working in London

Anonymous participant Personally, I would use that provisional driving license that shows an old address rather than sending another bank statement that shows your current address
What other documents would have your current address?? monthly salary pay stubs, monthly salary payment statements???
I have the registration of voting for this address, my work payslips and contract, I think my pension too

Anonymous participant Use your provisional Driver License (with old address) and Pension Statements or Work Pay Slips or Voter Registration (with current address) scanned showing on the same page

If you don't have any of the docs they requested you can try with a recent statement. I would probably buy something from a shop, get a receipt. Highlight the transaction on the statement and upload the receipt.
They want to see you're still in the country.

HumbleJanken THank you for the idea, I hope I don't get rejected

Anonymous participant I saw you mentioned you live in the UK? Any 'official' looking letters you've received by post? Doctors or dentist appointment, mobile contract, etc.
I'd provide 2-3 different things and write a cover letter explaining why I don't have any utility bills in my name.

HumbleJanken thank you for the reply , let's wait for their reply and see if the bank statement worked π€

Anonymous participant If I remember correctly I used a bank statement for current location. The idea to use a transaction receipt is a good one, especially if it bears your name

Why not supply what they state, a utility bill or a driverβs license?
Anonymous participant - So you have no records that show that you live in the UK? Any mail that you receive in the post with your name and address? You could have your landlord draft a lease, and use that

Anonymous participant Safest bet would be to change the address on your provisional license and upload the new license. Not sure how long they take to change it these days.
I would guess if he's asking, he doesn't have them. This can be issue for people who are citizens and go home to apply for the visa but don't actually live there. I got my name onto a utility bill but it was something I had to go out of my way to do.
