What do (or did) you use as 'document indicating current location' for the DTV visa?
A timestamped proof of address? Like a government letter?
What else could I be using?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To prove your current location for the DTV visa in Thailand, you can use several documents. Commonly recommended are a driver's license showing your address, utility bills in your name, or a government-issued letter. Additionally, a stamp in your passport may also serve as proof of residence, particularly if you are not in your home country. Some have even suggested using a newspaper with a timestamp as a less conventional option. Ultimately, the key is to provide a document that clearly indicates your current address.
I don't know about the DTV but for marriage and tourist visa, I have used my drivers license to establish residence and my passport to establish nationality.
in both scenarios there's no stamp to indicate you are home? At least in my country... can of course enter as a citizen without a stamp (resident or not)
That's what I mean... if I go home I don't get a stamp... so how I can show that I'm inside my country? If I stay at a hotel I can probably use a copy of the registration... but what if I stay at my friends place?
