Just to let people know

I was at Korat IO today for a 30 day extension based on tourist I had a Copy of : Evisa, passport page, Visa Page, TM30, TM7, and Photo.

They also asked for my Wife's ID card House Book which I though was strange.

I just did my 30 day extension in Nong Bua Lum Phu. I handed them my paperwork and first question was who are you staying with? About then my wife walked in and handed over a copy of the house book and her ID. Probably took me ten minutes and I was out the door, fast service.

I guess she is the owner or rentor of the place where you stay and she has to make the address registration. Just bring the form to register is not enough.

After this 30 days extention you can still request a 60 days extention based on Thai family.

I put Holiday didn't even mention my wife

I usally extend based on visiting Wife.

But this time I don't need 60 days I only need 30 so I just extended based on tourism.

But they still wanted ID and House Book so who knows anyway got extention so all good.

@Paul ******
this is quite common at Khorat, recently. I think its an order from the boss to ensure registered addresses are still accurate.

Did you put the reason for extension as "tourism" or to "stay with Thai wife"?
