TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience obtaining a 30-day extension of a tourist visa at Korat Immigration Office (IO) and noted that despite applying under tourism, they were asked for their Thai wife's ID card and House Book. This sparked a discussion among commenters about the requirements for extensions, with one sharing a similar experience in Nong Bua Lum Phu, emphasizing the importance of having the necessary documents ready.
I just did my 30 day extension in Nong Bua Lum Phu. I handed them my paperwork and first question was who are you staying with? About then my wife walked in and handed over a copy of the house book and her ID. Probably took me ten minutes and I was out the door, fast service.

I guess she is the owner or rentor of the place where you stay and she has to make the address registration. Just bring the form to register is not enough.
