TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew the DTV visa in Thailand after 180 days, you typically need to visit an immigration center in Bangkok and provide the same documents used for the initial application. However, requirements can vary by immigration office, so it's advisable to verify the latest requirements with your local immigration office or seek guidance from resources like the Expat Money Forum.
Yes, generally, to renew the DTV after 180 days, you will need to go to an immigration center in Bangkok and may need to present the same documents you used for the first application. However, it's important to check if there have been any changes in the requirements.
I recommend contacting Expat Money Forum , as they can help you with detailed information and support throughout the visa renewal process.
Read above, nobody knows yet what the extension requirements will be.

As mentioned by Brandon, the extension process isn't yet known.
The way around this is to leave the country briefly and then re-enter and get another 180 day stamp. No paperwork, fees, etc. Just the cost of the travel. Can do this as many times as you want during the 5 year visa validity.
agree, but its mathmatically impossible to do it more than once a year, unless you get the 180 day extension and leave and come back within 5 days of receiving it.
Get an extension 2-Jan, leave 180 days later and return the same day for a new 180 day stamp which can be extended 180 days later in the same calendar year. Mathematically it is possible.

If it’s the same documents they will need to be updated, such as bank statements.
For DTV you can apply one time each entry for a 180 day extension and you would do that at your local immigration office.
No one knows what it will require because no one has gotten one yet. And the requirements will be different because each immigration office sets their own requirements. You'll need to go to your immigration office and ask what their requirements are. But many immigration offices don't seem to know yet either.
you can skip the extension altogether and just leave and return if you want. You'll get a new 180 day stamp. There's no requirement to stay out any amount of time. You can return the same day if you want.

Right, this sounds easier than dealing with extension docs!
