TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 30-day visa extension in Jomtien, an American must prepare several documents including their passport, a passport-sized photo, copies of the passport data page, the current entry stamp or visa, the TM.6 departure card, a filled-out TM.7 application for extension, and 1900 baht for the fee. It is also advised to bring a signed copy of the landlord's ID for the TM30 submission. The process typically takes a couple of hours, depending on the number of people waiting, and approvals are generally issued on the same day. If needed, there is a copy shop nearby that can assist with forms and copies.

You will need a signed copy of your landlords ID to submit the TM30 at Jomtien. They were insisting on the landlord attending at one time because 99% of the time either you, the landlord or quite possibly both of you are likely to be fined for failing to lodge it within 24hours of being at your residence. I have no idea if they still want the landlord to attend though.I suggest having an extra 4000bht in your pocket when you go.

other than that did it go okay?

Take your passport & a passport sized photo to the Jomtien Immigration office.

You'll need copies of

the data page of your passport

your current entry stamp (or visa)

the TM.6 departure card

a filled out TM.7 application for extension & 1900baht.

Hey,
@Ke***
, once you go and get the extension, can you post back on how it works down there in Jomtien Immigrations?

There's also a small copy shop next door that will make the copies you need & fill out the form too.

I just googled around and read reports that you turn in your documents and wait it out. They issue them the same day

They do it in a day or will I need to leave my passport and form's?

@Ke***
, depending on the number of people there it could take a couple hours or so. They're open 8:30-16:30 and closed for lunch 12:00-13:00. Sometimes the afternoons are better..
