To renew a tourist visa and to apply for a residency cert most of the documents are the same. The only difference seems to be TM7 application form filled for visa renewal compared to TM30 for residency cert.

Both need, passport photo, passport visa page copy and passport info page copy

Will I be able to get both of these done in the same visit and do I need two copies of each documents?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on renewing a tourist visa and applying for a residency certificate at the same time, noting similarities in document requirements. However, there are concerns raised by commenters about the feasibility of renewing a tourist visa, indicating that what may actually be needed is a 30-day extension of stay. There is a recommendation to consult the local Thai immigration office for specific requirements.
