Hello,

I will soon be going to immigration to sort my first extension (30 days) since arriving last month visa exempt.

Can I confirm what I will need to bring with me?

I understand the following -

TM7

SIGNED photo passport size

Signed scans of passport and visa Inc tm6

Passport

1900baht

I'm seeing somthing about hotel/address confirmation for your entire stay. Is this for a regular 30 day extension? I didnt need do this before. I feel this may be for covid related 60 day extension only? Could I confirm this.

Thank you very much

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing for their first 30-day visa extension since arriving in Thailand on a visa exemption and wants to confirm the necessary documents. They list key requirements including the TM7 form, a signed photo passport size, and a fee of 1900 baht. There's a query regarding the need for hotel and address confirmation, which the user believes may only pertain to COVID-related extensions. Commenters provide insights about local practices at different immigration offices, raising questions about the necessity of certain documents like the TM30.

In Bangkok, for 30days tr extension, you will be unlikely asked for TM30 receipt.

Sure better to have it in case.

Which immigration office will you use? I never heard of anyone needing a signed photo before

, keep in mind
@Si***
said he did his extension in Surin Province. SO unless that's where you're doing your extension it might or might not be relevant to where you're going

I recently did my extension in chong chom..they wanted six passport pics for each document they had plus i had to show proof of address..and yes this was a 30day covid extension
Simon ********

I'm confused slightly about this. I arrived last month visa exemption. The TM30 is proof of my address? Would I need stay the same place? Same hotel/condo? Or is it just where I am when applying extension?

Appreciate your help

just show up with what you have.

You may or may not be asked re TM30.

Where are you staying now?

In a hotel ?

Or ???

Good Luck

now I'm in a Airbnb, heading to Bangkok Sunday. Yet to book accommodation. Am I wise to book a hotel for week, rather than an airbnb? If this makes a difference lol

@Daryl ******
Right now system is down, they said "at least" until 22nd. So anyway you might need to submit TM30 by yourself, self-file or as representative of the owner.

I will be doing my extension in Bangkok.

If I am asked, do I need collect Information from previous hotels or rentals? Or should they have automatically uploaded this on my behalf?

Thanks for your help

@Daryl ******
the hotels upload your passport info into Thai Immigration. Rentals may or may not have...as they are operating under the radar

I'm happy to do TM30 and provide previous/current Information. But just trying to get my head around what I'd need to do. Lol
