I am here an a TR Visa (Tourist). I already did the 30 day extension in Krabi Immigration. My visa expires on 11.6.

Now I want to do the 60 day covid extension.

I went to the immigration last week on Phangan to get the documents and took a photo of what I need. (see below).

I have everything together except No. 6.

What is it? Do I really need it, when I am here on a Tourist Visa? I change accommodation almost every week, so I don’t have a place where I stay long term.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand on a TR (Tourist) Visa and is seeking a COVID extension. They have already completed a 30-day extension and are unsure about the necessity of the TM30 document required by immigration. The TM30 is a form that records the address of the visa holder and might be required based on the immigration office's discretion. The user also inquires about whether the 60-day extension is counted from the application date or from the end of their current visa, with additional comments confirming that extensions are usually added to the existing visa expiry date.

it is tm30 which use the latest address where you stay

We are still at immigration. It is just crazy, I’m telling you. I would avoid Phangan Immigration. They told us we need post stamps. We went to a post office on the other end of the city, they said they don’t sell stamps (at a post office?!).

Now we are back at immigration. Everybody is telling us something else.

Our first extension in Krabi was so easy (10 minutes).

Thanks guys. Yes, they meant official tax stamps. But their English wasn’t good enough to explain where we can get them.

show the image I posted to any thai and they'll know where to get them (most mom and pop mini marts have them. You pronounce it in thai with the word stamp (spoken as TWO syllables "sa-tamp') and the word "Argon" so 'sa-tamp ar-gon' and show the picture

thank you. I took a picture of the stamps in the immigration offers and showed them in the post office and other stores, but nobody had them.

We came back to immigration without stamps and we told them we couldn’t get them. They solved it somehow. 🤷‍♀️

Tax stamps aka 'Duty Stamps'

Benjamin Hays They require those tax stamps IF you are filing a TM30 for your land lord who has given power of attorney to you so you can do it

It might be official tax stamps. usually, they are available at post offices, some government offices, or some convenience stores (not all).

they told you that you need TAX STAMPS (not postage stamps) :/ That was a "lost in translation" between you and the immigration office. Almost every small mom and pop shops sells tax stamps

This is what a 5 baht one looks like

Is this apply for all immigration office? Never heard such a document of residence in Chang Wattana immigration.

We have one open question:

We are here on Tourist Visa, did the 30 day extension already and want to to the COVID extension today (as it runs out on 29.5. we heard).

Our visa expires on 11.06. Do they add the 60 days from today or from 11.06.?

We don’t want to lose any days.

So we got our 60 day extension. The days were added to the last day of our current visa (11.6.) and we can stay till 10.8. 🥳

We heard a women asked the officer, if she can do the 60 day extension even tough she didn’t get her 30 day extension yet. Officer said yes. ok

Go on the 28th, it's your last day to apply, in general it's added on to the end of your current permission to stay date, there have been a very few reports of it starting from application date.

Everything I have read says that your FIRST 60 day extension starts from the day you apply. After that any 60 days start from the end of the first one.

I am currently still on my TR and haven’t done it tho. I plan to use my 30 day then try to use 60 day extensions as well 🙏🏼

When you did your 30 day, how soon did you go? Did it start from that day or extend your TR? Thank you 🙇🏻‍♂️

we did our 30 day extension in Krabi, which was done in 10 minutes. We didn’t even have to fill out any forms, they put it straight in the computer system.

Thanks. We got that from our hotel now.

You will need TM30 if the immigration office states. Or you need to ask that immigration office that you would use. It depends on the immigration office if they require a TM30 receipt for Covid extension or not.
