What can I do if my visa expires on November 13, but I can’t fly until November 16 because of vaccination delays?

"I need to travel back to the UK asap.. But I need to wait until I've had my last Pfizer vaccination on the 26th October. I then need to wait 14 days before I can fly and 7 more days to get a vaccination certificate. This takes me upto the 16th of November, but my visa expires on the 13th November."

So my question is.. what can I do about the 3 days between my visa expiring and being able to fly. ? I don't like the idea of overstaying for 3 days. What can I do. ?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat needs to travel back to the UK after receiving their last Pfizer vaccination, but faces a visa expiry issue. Their visa expires on November 13, while they cannot fly until November 16 due to waiting periods related to the vaccination certificate. Suggestions include applying for a 60-day extension based on being unable to travel due to COVID-19, contacting immigration for advice, or discussing a possible rescheduling of the vaccination appointment to facilitate travel.

Just go back to the UK when yiuve had your last jab, isolate for 10 days. No problem

Talk to the vaccine provider, get it moved back a couple days. Explain the case. Much simpler solution I think.

When you need to go ASAP, go this week, flights are cheap and you don't need vaccine to fly to England from thailand. Just home quarantine for 5 or 10 days

just to clarify... i'm on a non o visa extension. And here in Korat it takes 7 days after the last jab, to get the certificate of vaccination. it also take 7 days after the last jab to get the vaccination passport too. but just the certificate is ok.

Paul Korat. Certificate is better. You can register on Mor Prom, and it also has a QR code. For any Aussies here, you can email the certificate to your GP who can enter the details into the Medicare system, so you'll have a second access point

Do you mean visa or stamp date?

Regarding the vaccine certificate (the paper with the information). I'm going to assume different regions and hospitals have different policies. For the OP, it'll take 7 days to get the certificate.

I did some further investigating, and it DOES look like, as of right now, where the OP is located, it DOES take 7 days to get the certificate. I'm going to delete any comments about getting the vaccine passport/ certificate to clean up this post. Sorry.

pretty sure everyone gets certificate there and then. He may be referring to the vaccine passport which can take time. However I hear many reports of the paper issued at the time of vaccination being sufficient (as the checks appear to be done by the airline as part of the boarding process)

Well I would ask the Immigration because this is a very special question..especially as you not mentioned and Wich visa you are now , the certificate you will get directly , the international in w days …you can ask for an extension will be denied but get 7 days to leave the county …

I recommend getting a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. [ma not be required for Bangkok immigration] A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and want to use their special forms)

4. [Not required for Bangkok immigration] A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport
