Hi all. Any experience kind soul can give me a step by step guide to apply for a Thai marriage visa. My Thai wife wasn’t very sure and we are trying to avoid going to an agent if possible. We are married in my country but next year, we decided to go back to Thailand to live permanently. Any help is much appreciated thanks 🙏
TLDR : Answer Summary
Applying for a Thai marriage visa (Non-O Visa) involves several key steps: 1) Legalize your marriage certificate in your home country and ensure it is translated into Thai. 2) Submit the application online through the Thai embassy website, where you'll need to upload relevant documents. 3) Once in Thailand, open a Thai bank account and deposit 400,000 baht if required, which should be seasoned for two months before applying for an extension. 4) Register your marriage in Thailand at the local amphur with witnesses and obtain a kor ror 22 certificate. 5) Visit the local immigration office to get a list of required documents for your visa extension. Following these steps can help you avoid using an agent.
