So just to be clear. You get one 180 day extension in a five year period. So once you use that single extension you cannot get another for the visit if the visa and have to leave within 180 days. Then secondly for the 90 day reporting you only need to do that if you are staying past 90 days . So if you leave the country at 89 days you would be exempt from the reporting ? And then every time you enter it’s automatically 180 consecutive days again you can stay?
TLDR : Answer Summary
In Thailand, it is a common misconception that you only receive one 180-day extension in a five-year period. In fact, you can request an extension every time you enter Thailand, provided you stay for over 179/180 days. However, if you leave the country just before reaching 90 days, you can avoid the 90-day reporting requirement, as you won't be in the country long enough to warrant it. Travelers can enter multiple times within the five-year visa duration, receiving a new 180-day stamp each time, and extensions are available per entry, giving them the option to renew their 180-day stay.
