Hello everyone, I’m retiring to Thailand and applying for my O-A visa stateside. Doing will allow me 1 year, this first year I would like to move from place to place staying a month here and there for about 7 months to try out each area I’d like to settle in. So the question I have when it’s time for my first 90 day check in, do I do this in person or on line, what do I need to provide and avoid any problems. I figure by the 3 month I should be at 3rd location or on the 4th. Thanks Edward

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for an O-A visa in Thailand and planning to relocate frequently, it's important to understand the 90-day check-in process. You need to visit the local immigration office in person for your first 90-day report if you have changed your address. A TM30 form should be filed by your host to register your stay at each new address. For further clarity, it's advisable to confirm with the nearest Thai embassy about acceptable proof of funds if you're relying on money from an overseas account.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Each time you change address you have to do a new TM30 and you will have to do your 90 days report in person. You only get to do a 90 days report online if you didn’t change address since the last time.
Also confirm with nearest Thai embassy that money in overseas account acceptable, and type of proof needed (unless you already have money seasoned in Thai bank account, or acceptable proof of monthly income
Well, wherever you stay, make sure that person files a TM 30 on you showing your registered as staying at that address and then when you're 90-day report comes up file your 90-day report at the immigration office that serves the area where you're staying.
do I understand correctly I need to do my first 90 in person and then I can use the on-line report system? Oh and thank you for the above information. Edward
just forget about the online reporting. It has not been for most of the year for many people including myself. Immigration told me the server couldn't really handle it. Many people have posted after years of success and nothing being changed for residence and now all the sudden it doesn't work. My last 3 were rejected and I have same house for 5 years. And yesterday someone posted in jomtien that Immigration officer told that person the not working at all. Thailand never addresses issues so jus plan on doing them in person. My wife couldn't even get th data pull up for the tm 30 to show Immigration.
is been mess lately. I am in that window now to report and I was told to keep trying several times a day and maybe one will actually go tru rather than an over loaded system with automatic denial and I can tell you from experience from the previous 90 day that the server was down for 3 days before you could even log on. Immigration officer said it was true for updates. Things have gotten bad with immigration and banking here recently. Might want to think about Vietnam. More bang for the buck and very beautiful and immigration is more friendly. A major shift has gone that way. Major reason why tourism and retirement has dropped so much.
