Hello everybody, question regarding Chiang Mai immigration specifically.
I've searched the forum but didn't find the exact answer I'm looking for.
Applying to renew a visa extension for a successive year, for the reason of 'support Thai wife'. Using the 400k seasoned in the bank account as proof of funds.
I got the statements and letters, and updated my bank book today (Thursday). Going to apply on Monday. I've assumed (perhaps incorrectly - please let me know if incorrect) that I can use the letters and statements for 7 days.
Here are the questions:
Do I need to update the bank book on the same day that I apply for the visa too, or can I use the version dated today only?
And, for bonus points: what's the wait like at Chiang Mai immigration for a marriage extension nowadays? Do I need to get there crazy early in the morning? I'll have a 2-week old baby with me all day too so hoping to make the process as smooth as possible.
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about renewing a marriage visa extension in Chiang Mai, specifically about requirements for bank statements and expected waiting times at the immigration office. It is noted that the bank book should be updated on the day of the application, while bank letters can be dated within a week. For the appointment, arriving early in the morning is advisable to avoid long wait times.
Unfortunately no one can predict how many people are going to be there the day you go, as a rule Monday and Friday are bad days (as are days after a holiday) BUT I'd say if you get there by 7:30-8:00 you would be done by lunch (however that is just a guess)
The bank book needs to be updated on the date you apply AND depending on the office you might also need to have the bank letter dated that day too (although most allow you to use a bank letter dated within 7 days).
