Is it true that when applying for DTV as a Brit you only need to have had the 500k+ THB in your account for 1 month? And also to confirm I MUST 100% apply from my home country now, not a border run etc?

Thanks
Answer summary
The discussion centers around the requirements for Brit expats applying for the DTV visa in Thailand. It confirms that applicants must maintain 500,000 THB in their bank account for at least one month before application, and they must apply from their home country rather than via border runs. Various comments address additional nuances regarding bank passbook updates and specific immigration office practices.
